ABOUT US · OUR PHILOSOPHY

Always evolving. Never ordinary.

KINK is more than a bar and restaurant. It's a creative playground where art, hospitality and people come together. A place that constantly evolves, surprises and challenges expectations.

We believe great experiences are about more than food and drinks. They're about atmosphere, connection and moments that stay with you.

Sometimes loud, sometimes intimate, but always welcoming.

Always changing. Always curious. Always KINK.

OUR STORY

Two founders. One vision. A little madness.

“An empty ballroom, a historic setting and an idea that seemed a little crazy. Our friends thought we'd lost our minds. We took that as a good sign.”

Daniel and Oliver share a passion for extraordinary spaces, unconventional ideas and bringing people together. After years of creating bars, pop-ups and unique experiences, they found the perfect place to turn their biggest vision into reality: KINK.

“We designed, built, painted, sanded and experimented. Long days on site, late nights refining every detail. Even lockdown became an opportunity to rethink, create and push things further.”

What began as an ambitious idea has become a place where art, design, food, drinks and people come together. Built with passion, a little stubbornness and the belief that the best experiences happen when you dare to do things differently.

THEN & NOW

Historic roots. A new creative spirit.

KINK's story begins long before we opened our doors. Our former ballroom dates back to 1841, when beer was still brewed at Pfefferberg. Its impressive eight-meter-high ceilings, historic vaults and grand windows remain part of the building's unique character.

Rather than recreating the past, we chose to bring it into the present. Original architectural details meet contemporary design, modern technology and unexpected artistic touches. Above the bar, Kerim Seiler's illuminated Space Knot installation adds a striking contrast to the historic surroundings, transforming the atmosphere throughout the day and night.

Today, KINK brings together a vibrant Restaurant with an open kitchen and live-fire cooking, a spectacular Bar and a 400 m² garden beneath old linden and chestnut trees. Our versatile spaces can be enjoyed individually or hired exclusively for events of up to 850 guests.

You'll find us at Pfefferberg, Schönhauser Allee 176, just one minute from Senefelderplatz U-Bahn station.

Art to be experienced, not just observed.
